Rune Lindbæk, from the legendary "Those Norwegians" recording outfit, has been releasing music since 1992 and DJing since 1984. Born in Vardø, a fishing island near the Arctic, he moved to Tromsø at age 4. He has produced with the Idjut Boys and Lindstrøm, and remixed The Knife, José Gonzalez and Bryan Ferry. He has released on Smalltown Supersound, Apollo/R&S, Noid and his own Drum Island Records. He has also been involved with projects like Flunk, Xploding Plastix, Frost and Röyksopp. His musical output ranges from ambient to film music and balearic dub disco. He held a monthly residency at Oslo's legendary basement Nomaden for nine years, which was a huge influence on the Norwegian deep disco scene. He is a featured pioneer in the documentary "Northern Disco Lights" about Norwegian electronic music.
