Mathew Jonson is a Canadian electronic music producer and live performer who has developed one of the most distinctive voices in electronic dance music. In Victoria, British Columbia, he met the crew that became Cobblestone Jazz and the Modern Deep Left Quartet. His first record was released in 2001 on Itiswhatitis. Known for tracks like "Marionette" and "Decompression," his fealty to analog equipment and real-time playing sets him apart. He co-founded the Wagon Repair label in 2005 and has released on M_nus, Crosstown Rebels, Kompakt and Dekmantel. He contributed fabric 84 to the famed London club's mix series in 2015.
