Rajko Müller, better known as Isolée, is a German electronic music producer and one of the most influential figures in the microhouse genre. Born in Frankfurt, he lived in Algeria from age 7 to 12 before returning to Germany. His 2000 album "Rest" and the single "Beau Mot Plage" are credited as defining microhouse releases. Pitchfork named "Beau Mot Plage" one of the best house tracks of the 1990s. His 2005 album "We Are Monster" was a crossover hit blending mutant disco with deep house and left-field electronica. He has released on labels including Playhouse, Pampa (DJ Koze's label), Mule Musiq and Maeve (Mano Le Tough's label). His 2023 album "Resort Island" on Maeve marked his first full-length in over a decade.
