Emma Magdalena’s route into DJing began on the dancefloor. A lifelong dancer, she developed an instinctive relationship with rhythm, movement and the emotional language of music before stepping behind the decks herself.

After time spent in Berlin and London, Emma became immersed in underground club culture, from intimate listening rooms and local dancefloors to international spaces such as fabric, Club der Visionaere, Sunwaves and Unum. Those experiences shaped a sound rooted in minimal, house, techno, electronica and breakbeat, with a particular pull toward the subtle pressure and deep grooves of the Romanian minimal scene.

Now based back in Oslo, Emma is building her voice as a selector, collector and emerging producer. Her sets move with the intuition of someone who understands music physically, balancing warm groove, stripped-back detail and rolling energy with a clear sense of progression. Having played across Oslo venues including Jæger, Gehør, Skaugum and Smelteverket, she is part of a new wave of local DJs contributing to the rooms, communities and sounds that first shaped her.

For the Burn Energy Tour DJ Open, Emma Magdalena brings a dancer’s understanding of movement, a digger’s curiosity and a deep respect for the underground culture that connects Oslo to wider European club scenes.
