Martin Schopf, also known as Dandy Jack, is a pioneer of electronic music and a key figure in the global underground scene. Born in Chile and active since the late 1980s, he has built an international career across Berlin, Geneva, and Santiago, developing a borderless sonic language of his own.
Known for his intense, improvisation-based live sets, he combines rhythmic complexity, raw energy, and an organic approach to electronic sound. His releases on influential labels such as Perlon, Fax Records, and Rather Interesting have made him an important figure in contemporary experimental electronic music.
Beyond the stage, Dandy Jack is also a scene builder. He creates platforms, sparks collaborations, and drives projects that connect artists across the world. Among these are Ruta5Label and Disco Sour Machine, a Berlin-born event series that brings together musicians from different places through experimentation, encounter, and live performance.
